The painterly look for the film, while inspired by critically acclaimed media like Fortiche's Arcane, stemmed from the initial illustratively-made prototypes of various house items. The creation of a diorama of a living room, although roughly made, helped establish an aesthetic outlook within a small-scale environment. The success of that then resulted in the consistent application of the same theme throughout the film.
